Valentines Day Party

I absolutely love Valentines Day and of course all of the cute pink and red decorations. Well, this year I am obsessed with anything in a chevron print and the color gray.  Well, I decided to throw an impromptu Valentines Day party for my daughter and three of her friends, so I decided to go with the “Pink And Gray” color scheme. I love decorating and styling a party, but I just don’t like the idea of stressing over the food.

Since my Valentines party was thrown together, I decided to have it catered by Cupcakelicious and Tea Leaves & Thyme in Old Town Woodstock. I was so excited to meet with both of the owners and tell them my vision for the party. I can’t even begin to tell you how nice it was to pick-up the adorable cupcakes and Tea’s (Light Tea & Mad Hatter Tea’s) on the day of the party and just simply display it on pretty dishes and make it look pretty.

I can honestly say that this Valentines Day party was truly the easiest and most non-stressful party that I have ever done. I even picked up the centerpiece for the girl’s table at Cupcakelicious. I had them make a cake-pop arrangement. What little girl doesn’t want to eat the centerpiece, right ?

I contacted Rags To Ruffles and had them make Ava’s pink and gray dress to match our Valentines Day party theme. I needed a hair-bow to match Ava’s dress, so I contacted The Sassy Tot and had her make an adorable hair-bow for me. We are “Giving-Away” an extra hair-bow made by The Sassy Tot! Make sure that you “like” us on Facbook, so you can register to win!

Next, I contacted Gumball Necklaces and asked if they would make 4 necklaces to match our parties “Pink & Gray” color scheme. Well, I was almost finished with the planning of the party, but one thing was missing. Who was going to take the pictures? I love hosting parties and looking back at all of the wonderful pictures from the party, but I just hate taking the pictures and missing out on special moments and not to mention I’m never in the photos. Well, I turned to Kasia Sutton Photography and she captured all of the photos that you will see below. Kasia Sutton did an amazing job and helped make the party stress-free!

Take a look at the impromptu Pink & Gray Valentines Day party that I threw for my daughter this past Thursday. I hope that you get inspired to throw your very own “impromptu” Valentines Day party this week with a couple of friends!

I just love matching up your guests with your theme.  We told the guests to wear pink and gray colors! We supplied the cute necklaces from Gumball Neclaces to each little girl. My daughter’s hair was adorned with this super cute pink and gray headband from The Sassy Tot to match our theme as well.

I placed the little girls Gumball Necklaces in the cute little homemade felt red and white envelopes (tutorials here) and placed the envelopes on-top of each heart-shaped pink plate.

Valentines Day Party

I just knew that 3-year olds and ceramic tea-cups would not work for this party, especially since our tea was red! I placed the Rasberry Rabbit flavored tea in these $1 store mini coke glasses. Next, I placed a cute little hot pink plastic (hard plastic) straw in each cup, so it would be easy to use.
